Jurassic Quest

It was a roaring good time!

By Cyndel Greene Macaroni Kid Cleveland-Athens-Etowah May 30, 2023

My family recently got the opportunity to visit Jurassic Quest while it was in town. Though it's already roaring into another city, we can all mark our calendars for next year!

We love dinosaurs in our family. I have many favorites, but I can tell you that the Brontasaurus was and still is a favorite. I remember watching Land Before Time as a little girl and that solidified my love for dinosaurs. Little Foot was definitely a crowd pleaser!

Now as an adult, I have gotten to share that love with my kids. Our son Logan has watched all of the newly made Jurassic Park movies, as well as the old ones. He loves this kind of thing just as much as we do. It's so interesting watching our love for something be passed on to our kids.

Jurassic Quest does such a good job at bringing the dinosaurs to life. It's a great experience without worrying about being eaten by T-REX! Bonus, we even got to learn a little more about some of our favorites. At each station there was a nice little informational video, along with a sign holding information on the dinosaur that was being "contained" in it's little enclosure.

In my opinion, they did a good job at making dinosaurs fun and informational for all ages. They even brought fossils! I occasionaly think about how much work goes in to extracting those fossils. It looks so simple from my side of the screen that I often forget how much work goes in to it. They have to be easy with all of those old bones to make sure they can extract as much history as possible. Though you can't take any of them home with you, your kids will get a chance to be a Paleontologist for a day. Though sand can be messy, they do have it enclosed so that your child won't have to climb in!

From digging for fossils to dinosaur rides, they have plenty of activities for your kiddos to enjoy. Mine are older, but they enjoyed themselves as well. The cotton candy was and always will be a crowd favorite for my kids, and myself. If you didn't get a chance to go this year, either check out Jurassic Quest in a city nearby or watch out for it next year. :)
