Even if You Hate Candy Corn, You'll LOVE This!

My kids had been begging me to make Puppy Chow - that rice cereal snack mix with chocolate and peanut butter. But, it's Halloween and the "Fall Mix" bag of candy corn was beckoning - so we took a detour down a dark alley and came up with this delicious recipe! But be careful - it's more addicting than blood is to a Vampire!

What you need:

8 Oz of White Chocolate (I used chips, but you could use any)

4 Cups of Hexagon Rice Cereal

2 Cups of Mini Twist Pretzels or Pretzel Nubs

2 Cups of Assorted Fall Candy Corn

1 Cup of Reeces Pieces

What you'll do:

  • Melt the chocolate. I usually do it in the microwave on high for 90 seconds and then add by 30 seconds each time until melted (typically 2min total, but microwaves vary)
  • Add in Rice Cereal, Pretzels and mix thoroughly
  • Add in the candies (all) and mix thoroughly
  • Spread on a sheet pan (line it in parchment if you hate cleaning up like I do!) to let it harden, trying to break up clumps
  • Pour into a serving dish and ENJOY!
