Family is important to Marcia Botts, Broker and Real Estate Agent. She is continuing the tradition her parents- Floyd and Genelle Hardin- began in 1984 as real estate agents. Marcia began her real estate career in 1994. Her parents built a great agency known for their strong work ethic and integrity. They were also known for their strong faith, generosity, and graciousness. It is important to Marcia to carry on the legacy they set before her and her siblings. Mr. Hardin passed away several years ago. Although Mrs. Genelle doesn't come into the office anymore, she continues to be a gracious and generous lady. Her smile is contagious and lights up a room! Marcia is married to Dennis and they have 5 children and 9 grandchildren.
A few ways Marcia has continued in her parent's footsteps is her generosity. The organizations, causes, and people around the globe she and her husband, Dennis, has graciously contributed to in some way are untold. One organization near and dear to her heart is New Hope Pregnancy Care Center. Marcia volunteers once a week at New Hope. It is ministry she says keeps her accountable. In order to counsel weekly and use her gift of empathy, she must make sure she is filling herself up with God's word.
I have personally had the opportunity to see Marcia serve on mission trips to Nicaragua. The past four years she has traveled with mission teams to physically be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need. She has walked the dirt roads of Los Sanchez and Citi Lapa to share the love of Jesus in practical ways. She has taught Bible stories in schools and orphanages, rocked and feed orphaned children, played games and made crafts, prayed with those requesting prayer, distributed food and so much more! I asked Marcia why she goes to Nicaragua and without hesitation, she shared to serve and Jesus called us to go!
